PIMA — The Graham County Chamber of Commerce is looking for a couple of good food vendors to help feed the crowd at the upcoming Pima Pool Renovation Celebration and Ribbon Cutting on Saturday, May 23.

The community event at the Pima Pool, 309 S. 100 East, will run from noon to 5 p.m. and mark the completion of recent upgrades to the longtime public swimming facility that serves families across the valley.

Chamber officials said they’re keeping the number of food vendors intentionally small, given the expected size of the crowd. They’re hoping for one solid savory option and one sweet option. A single vendor capable of handling both could land the whole gig.

Booth space will run $20 for a 10-foot spot if you’re a Graham County Chamber of Commerce member and $75 for non-members. Those who aren’t members yet can join the chamber before paying to take advantage of the lower rate.

The vendor interest form dropped on Wednesday, May 6. Applications need to be in by Monday, May 11. Selected vendors will hear the word soon after and will then have until Friday, May 15, to submit all paperwork and payments.

That list includes proof of insurance with at least $2 million total coverage and $1 million per occurrence, a Town of Pima business license, a Graham County Health Department food permit, and the booth rental fee. Setup times will be provided once vendors are selected.

Applications are available online at www.grahamchamber.org/vendors. For more details, contact Vance Bryce at 928-324-9335.

The Pima Pool has been a summertime staple for nearly four decades. Local folks were glad to see it get a fresh resurfacing and other improvements after the last swim season, thanks in part to grant support. The ribbon-cutting celebration gives the community a chance to cool off, enjoy some food, and show appreciation for the renewed facility.
