CLIFTON – The public is invited to a Celebration of Life for Walt Mares, who passed away April 7 following a series of health setbacks. He was 71.
Walt was the longtime managing editor of the Copper Era newspaper in Clifton and later served as a contributor for the Gila Herald for several years.
The Celebration of Life will take place Saturday, Oct. 4, at the Clifton American Legion located at 158 Frisco Ave. in Clifton, beginning at 11 a.m.
