SAFFORD – Do you have large, unsightly trash or items on your property you’d like to dispose of but can’t seem to make it to the landfill? Well, if you are a city of Safford resident, you are in luck because the Community Clean-Up Trailer is free to help residents safely dispose of large, unwanted items as part of the city’s neighborhood beautification plan.

The city will drop off its trailer at your location. After it’s filled, it will retrieve the trailer at no cost! Some items, including lead-based paint, oil and fuel waste, pesticides, sewage, and tires on rims, are not allowed. However, tires taken off rims, batteries, and appliances are permitted. The program is for residential refuse only.

To get the trailer in your neighborhood, apply online at www.cityofsafford.us and click the “Forms & Permits” tab. Then click the “Community Clean-Up Trailer” link under the “Planning & Community Development” tab on the right and complete the required form. The trailer is available for weekday drop-off on Monday and pick-up on Thursday, or weekend drop-off on Thursday and pick-up on Monday.

Spring has sprung, and the city is helping its residents with neighborhood beautification projects with its free Community Clean-Up Trailer.

Call the Safford Neighborhood Officer, Chris Crawford, at (928) 432-4144 for more information.
