Safford resident Monika Ragland chosen as Artist of the Month

SAFFORD – The Safford City-Graham County Library will host a display of the work of local artist Monika Ragland during the month of March. The display includes stained glass, photography, and watercolor. Monika Ragland is a retired educator who taught 6th through 8th grade for 15 years and then became the high school media specialist for 15 years at the Safford Unified School District. After retiring, she has pursued her many interests and hobbies, including painting, stained glass, photography, writing, traveling, and hiking. She’s been married to Ed Ragland for 55 years and is very proud of her two sons, Travis and Lance Ragland.

This display is part of ongoing efforts to showcase the work of talented local artists from Safford and across Graham County. It may be seen during library operating hours, Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
