GRAHAM COUNTY — After being released, a woman who was jailed for criminal damage is once again wanted by police.
Sarah Jean Vicenzi, 38, was initially booked on Feb. 24 into the Graham County Adult Detention Facility after allegedly breaking the window of a man’s residence and tussling with arresting officers.
According to a Graham County Sheriff’s Office report, the victim was at his home off Lebanon Road at about 11:17 p.m. on Feb. 23 when Vicenzi attempted to get inside. The couple have a previous history, and Vicenzi has already been trespassed from the property.
The victim said he was in bed when Vicenzi arrived and started banging on his window to let her inside. When he didn’t acquiesce, he said he heard a loud crash and discovered his window smashed, with a bottle of mayonnaise lying on the floor among the broken glass.
According to the Sheriff’s Office report, Vicenzi was found hiding in the desert east of the residence. She said she had gone to the apartment to collect proceeds from items the pair had allegedly sold on the Facebook marketplace. She said they had an argument over the money earlier in the day, and the victim had dropped her off at a gas station. She said she went to his residence to apologize and that the window simply broke when she knocked on it.
When asked if she had any mayonnaise when she arrived, Vicenzi denied it, but her other belongings, located just outside the residence, included various sandwich items.
Vicenzi allegedly admitted that she knew she had been previously trespassed from the property. However, when the deputy attempted to place her under arrest, she reportedly resisted and dared the deputy to “shoot me (expletive deleted)” and that she “was not going to jail.”
Multiple deputies then “escorted” Vicenzi to the ground and placed her under arrest for criminal damage/domestic violence, disorderly conduct/domestic violence, trespassing/domestic violence, and resisting arrest.
She was transported to the Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center, where she reportedly continued to resist but was given a medical clearance for alcohol intoxication and was booked into jail.
Vincenzi was released from jail on Feb. 26 since charges had not yet been filed, and those arrested must be charged or released within 48 hours. However, Vincenzi was already on probation stemming from a January conviction for criminal damage, and a petition to revoke that probation was filed on March 4. According to online court records, a warrant for her arrest was issued on March 7.
