U.S. 70 closed near Bylas due to crash with fatality

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers traveling on U.S. Highway 70, west of Bylas, to plan for lane restrictions as work continues on a passing lane project.

UPDATE: Highway 70 has reopened

BYLAS – U.S. Highway 70 has been closed in both directions near Bylas for a crash with a fatality. The highway has been closed since about 5 a.m.  

According to the San Carlos Police Department, the collision involved a pedestrian and included a fatality. An official with the SCPD estimated the highway would be reopened in about three to four hours. (10 – 11 a.m.) There is no detour.
