Safford High School’s star senior forward Trynity Dominguez etched her name deeper into the Bulldogs’ record books last night, reaching a remarkable milestone that has the entire community buzzing with pride.

In a dominant 6-1 home victory over Pusch Ridge Christian Academy, Dominguez netted her 100th and 101st career goals, turning what was already an electric evening into an unforgettable celebration for the Safford faithful. The Bulldogs’ high-powered offense overwhelmed the Lions. Still, all eyes were on Dominguez as she calmly found the back of the net twice to cross the century mark—a testament to years of dedication, skill, and sheer determination.

A lifelong Safford native, Dominguez has been lacing up her cleats since she was just four years old. Her passion for the game has only grown stronger with time, fueling an intense work ethic that teammates and coaches alike describe as inspiring. Named team captain as a sophomore — an extraordinary honor for such a young player — she helped guide the Bulldogs all the way to a state championship game, showcasing her leadership on and off the field.

Dominguez’s accolades speak volumes: she has earned Offensive Player of the Year honors and been selected to the First Team All-Conference in the 3A Conference. Yet through it all, she remains the same humble, hardworking athlete who grew up dreaming big in her hometown.

Off the pitch, Dominguez is an exceptional student-athlete, balancing rigorous academics with her athletic commitments. Next fall, she’ll take her talents to the next level at Pima Community College, where she has signed to play for the Aztecs women’s soccer team on an athletic scholarship. There, she’ll pursue a degree in dental hygiene while continuing to compete at a high level—proof that her drive extends far beyond the soccer field.

The Bulldogs’ next challenge comes quickly: they’ll hit the road to take on Sabino High School this Thursday, Jan. 22, with kickoff set for 6 p.m. The team will undoubtedly carry the momentum of last night’s milestone victory into that matchup.

Trynity Dominguez’s story is one of perseverance, community roots, and quiet excellence — a shining example of what makes high school sports so special in small-town Arizona. Safford couldn’t be prouder of this hometown hero. Congratulations, Trynity — here’s to many more goals, on the field and in life!
