Plan for east- and westbound lane restrictions on U.S. 60 in Globe Sept. 22-25

South Street restrictions are in place for approximately 21 days

GLOBE – The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following lane restrictions on U.S. Highway 60, between Santee Street (milepost 250) and U.S. Highway 70 (milepost 252), as part of the pavement rehabilitation project in Globe.

There will be east and westbound curb lane restrictions on U.S. Highway 60 between U.S. Highway 70 (milepost 252) and South Street (milepost 251.9) daily from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 22, through Thursday, Sept. 25.

Motorists should plan for rolling lane restrictions as crews work in multiple sections each day and move through the project area.

The speed limit will be reduced to 25 mph in the work zone.

Motorists and businesses should also plan for temporary restrictions to local roads for ramp and gutter work. Drivers can expect the following:

Traffic exiting South Street onto U.S. Highway 60 will be closed for approximately 21 days.

Drivers may use the posted detours to Seventh Street to access U.S. Highway 60.

Traffic entering South Street from U.S. Highway 60 will remain open.
