Plan for daytime lane restrictions on U.S. Highway 70 in Duncan through July

Expect temporary driveway restrictions starting June 16

DUNCAN – The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) advises drivers to plan for the following lane restrictions on U.S. Highway 70 in Duncan for roadway improvements:

  • U.S. Highway 70 will be narrowed to one lane in each direction with alternating eastbound and westbound travel between mileposts 366 and 385 daily from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, through July.
    • Flaggers and a pilot car will direct drivers through the work zone.

Motorists should also plan for driveway restrictions along U.S. Highway 70 in Duncan, beginning June 16, as crews apply a microseal to the road. Drivers can expect:

  • U.S. Highway 70 will be narrowed to one lane in each direction with alternating east- and westbound travel between mileposts 366 and 385 daily from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, starting June 16  through June 30.
    • The micro seal will require a 40-minute to an hour closure at driveways and other access points to allow the application to cure.
    • Sealing work will be done in 2-mile increments.

Motorists should allow extra travel time, use caution, be prepared to slow down, and merge safely when approaching and traveling through all work zones.
