BYLAS – The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) advises drivers to plan for the following lane restrictions on U.S. Highway 70, approximately 6 miles west of Bylas, beginning Monday, July 28, as part of a new passing lane project in Graham County.
- Alternating east- and westbound lane restrictions on U.S. Highway 70 between mileposts 288 and 289 (Yellowjacket Road) daily from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
- Flagging operations will be in effect while crews are working to direct drivers through the work zone.
Drivers should allow extra travel time, use caution, be prepared to slow down, and merge safely when approaching and traveling through all work zones.
The project will provide a 1-mile westbound passing lane, drainage improvement, and new pavement markings. The work is expected to be completed in December 2025. Schedules are subject to change due to weather and other unforeseen circumstances.
