GRAHAM COUNTY – A Graham County man suffered possible third-degree burns during a residential fire off E. Hollywood Road on March 14.
According to a Graham County Sheriff’s Office report, law enforcement and fire personnel were dispatched at about 11:49 a.m. regarding a structure fire.
Upon arrival, a resident was located with severe burns. The victim was in severe pain, but in between his screams, he informed the deputy that the propane had been a factor in the fire.
While the deputy and officers were attending to the injured male, loud pops were heard as the fire increased with exploding propane tanks.
The Safford Fire Department extinguished the fire, but the mobile home and a second trailer burned entirely to the ground.
Paramedics from Lifeline Ambulance treated the victim at the scene and then transported him for further evaluation and treatment. No additional updates were issued on his condition.
