Library to Host Constellation Program

SAFFORD – The Safford Library will host Mythology Under the Stars at EAC Discovery
Park at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18. This free program will allow people of all ages to
hear the stories that bring the constellations to life, presented by Bob Hiatt. The Tinsley
telescope will also be available for viewing, weather permitting.

This program is one in a series of events scheduled to coincide with the presence of
“Discover Exoplanets: The Search for Alien Worlds”, now on display at the Safford City-
Graham County Library. This interactive, all-ages exhibition explores the fascinating
world of space science and astronomy. The exhibit is on display Monday-Thursday
10 a.m. – 7 p.m. through Nov. 20.

The Safford Library is proud to be selected to be one of ten sites nationwide to host
Discover Exoplanets. This exhibition was developed by the Space Science Institute’s
National Center for Interactive Learning (NCIL) in partnership with NASA’s Universe of
Learning. This project was made possible through support from NASA, under
cooperative agreement number NNX16AC65A.
