SAFFORD — The Graham County Chamber of Commerce has joined the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and chambers across the country in signing a letter urging Congress to pass comprehensive permitting reform.

The letter calls for:

  • Predictability: Clear timelines and scope for project reviews.
  • Efficiency: Improved interagency coordination to optimize resources.
  • Transparency: Accessible visibility into project milestones and schedules.
  • Stakeholder Input: Consistent opportunities for input from all relevant parties.

“Our businesses and communities are ready to build,” said Vance Bryce, executive director of the Graham County Chamber of Commerce. “Modernizing the permitting process means we can move forward with projects that create good jobs, strengthen our economy, and improve quality of life here in Graham County and across the nation.”
