Beef raffle to aid Safford seniors with utility bills
SAFFORD – Get your tickets now for your chance to win a half beef from Carter’s Custom Cuts and assist elderly Safford residents with their utility bills.
You know Safford’s popular Give from the Heart fundraiser as typically serving nachos and hot dogs, with possible guest appearances from Safford City Councilmember Michael Andazola Sr. in a hot dog costume. Last October’s event raised more than $2,800, which was more than double what the event raised the previous year.
For this raffle, Carter’s Custom Cuts is putting up a half-beef valued at $2,100. Tickets are $20 for one or $100 for six. Only 500 tickets will be sold. Proceeds from the raffle will benefit the Give from the Heart program.
The winner will be announced during SalsaFest on Saturday, Sept. 27.
The winner will select cuts of meat from a cut list and will have 60 days to claim their prize from the date of the drawing.
Purchase tickets at Safford City Hall or the city’s Mesa Yard Office at 373 Discovery Park Blvd.
