GRAHAM COUNTY – Multiple agencies are on the scene along the Gila River between Thatcher and Pima tonight, dealing with a wildfire.

The wildfire erupted early Monday afternoon. Fire vehicles from Thatcher, Safford, and the Bureau of Land Management were observed at the fire. There is no cause for the fire yet, and no structures are currently in danger, however, a farmer did move some tractors that were close to the riverbed. The fire was burning trees in the area and was aided by blustery afternoon winds.
