Seems within only a week, Kamala’s selection for Vice President is already causing controversy. Not unexpected, considering her skills – or lack thereof – in performing basic government work.
Kamala Harris, Democrats new hand-picked puppet for President, has publicly demonstrated her inability to determine a competent running mate by picking an ultra-Left governor from Minnesota.
That’s fine, she’s entitled to select whomever she chooses. A VP isn’t chosen by a public vote, but rather by the Presidential candidate running for office.
In this case, however, the public didn’t elect either one.
Readers may remember Kamala was suddenly – and without explanation – inserted as the Dems 2024 offering. President Joe, after repeatedly assuring us he was going to run again and defeat Donald Trump, was unexpectedly tossed overboard by Democrat bigshots.
No state Primary Election process was conducted for Kamala. Joe had one, but it didn’t count.
So much for Democracy and the will of the people. Insider Dems have taken care of that irritating inconvenience.
I’m sure Joe’s head is still spinning from his dizzy plunge from fame. Once ridding high as Numero Uno, and the Democrats only recognized convention candidate, Joe experienced how quickly things can change when treacherous politics takes over.
Being #1 is only allowed as long as behind-the-scenes plotters and schemers decide it should last.
When it’s over, it’s over; election or otherwise.
Then – “See ya, Joe. Have a nice retirement. Drop us an email to let us know how you’re doing. Hope that memory problem gets better.”
To – “Hello Kamala. Welcome to the club. How would you like to be our new Presidential candidate? We’ll make it official at the convention, and you can go up against Trump. If he’s still around.”
Giddy from her amazing success as “Root Causes” Czar, Kam jumped at the chance to bask in the limelight of a future White House occupant. “Gee, can I pick my own Vice President, too?”
“Of course, you can, as long as it’s someone we approve of” the Oz-like voice wafts from the speakerphone.
“Wow, I have several in mind, but I really like the guy from Minnesota. He’s almost as incompetent as I am” Kam hysterically laughed.
Well, as we’re already discovering, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz acts more like a comedian than a vice-presidential wannabe. Someone who might appear in a Saturday Night Live skit.
Maybe, he has.
Sure, he’s been a public-school teacher, and assistant coach, honeymooned in China, lived there for a while, visited several times, and watched Minneapolis go up in flames during the George Foreman riots in 2020.
And claimed he was a Command Sergeant Major in the National Guard with over twenty years of experience. Some involving combat.
These declarations seem to be in dispute. He served in the guard and almost obtained the rank of Sergeant Major. But not quite.
According to Army Lt. Col. Kristen Auge, public affairs officer for the Minnesota National Guard, Walz retired as a Master Sergeant “because he did not complete additional coursework at the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy.” – Newsweek, Aug. 7, 2024
Failure to complete the required coursework is an automatic demotion.
In effect, he didn’t attend the Sergeants Major Academy because he retired from the Army in March to run for Congress just before his unit was scheduled to deploy to Iraq in May 2005.
Suppose the sound of gunfire changed his mind about a Sergeant Major promotion? Being in the Army – he may have reasoned – is a wonderful thing as long as it doesn’t involve incoming bullets, mortar rounds, and rockets. Those things can be dangerous.
So, he ran for Congress instead and won a few trips to Washington as one of Minnesota’s U.S. Representatives (2007-2019).
Following his Congressional tour he was elected Governor of Minnesota.
As a result of about 17 years of political experience, Walz has had ample time to learn and practice various partisan speaking techniques. His decidedly left-leaning opinions only enhance his proficiency in selling fiction as a fact.
Deceitfully bragging about his military record is a perfect example.
A lying politician is kind of expected. No one thinks much about it. They rave and rant, wagging fingers, and accusing each other of various harebrained exploits, while at the same time contriving such ridiculous excuses as to insult the basic reasoning of the least informed among us.
Of course, the press eats it up, printing and repeating nearly every word as if they were inscribed upon Moses’ tablets, without doing much investigation to see if the information is true or not.
If discovered to be a falsehood, they simply dismiss it as a “misstatement.” The word “misstatement” is often a 12-letter substitute to disguise the unsophisticated frankness of the three-letter “l-i-e”.
A person who lies about his military record, including rank and combat experience, is an entirely different matter. Especially to those who have served in our nation’s armed forces.
Mr. Walz may think he’s fooling people with his line of exaggerated military accomplishments. He’s not. He’s only making himself look more ridiculous.
Being a retired public school teacher, he should at least be smart enough to figure out it wouldn’t be very difficult to discover and reveal information about his military service.
If CNN News is now referring to him as “Coach” instead of a war hero, then that’s a pretty good indication the Sergeant Major title was bogus from the beginning.
There will be little mention of the Biden Administration’s upside-down economy, collapsed borders, wars in the Middle East and Eastern Europe, rampant drugs and crime, and rising costs of nearly everything.
Why? Because VP Kamala Harris is an active participant in this mess. She’s #2 behind #1. When her political ads say otherwise, that’s an obvious misstatement.
Or, a lie, if you prefer.
However, in the interest of a fabricated news cycle, for the next three months, we’ll probably have to see and hear how fantastic the dynamic duo of “Root Causes” Kamala and “Sergeant Major” Tim will be the greatest thing since flush toilets.
Which is precisely where most of their scripted campaign speeches should be tossed.
