Eastern Arizona College’s Dance Department invites the community to step into an evening of rhythm, movement, and vintage flair at “Swing Under the Stars,” a free outdoor event set for April 11, from 7 to 9 p.m., at the EA Amphitheater.

Led by Associate Professor of Dance Marci Barney, the event will bring swing dancing to life under the open sky, welcoming participants of all ages and experience levels. From first-timers to seasoned dancers, attendees will have the opportunity to learn, watch, and join in throughout the evening.

Barney, who has become a driving force behind EA’s community-centered dance programming, is known for creating engaging, accessible experiences that invite the public to participate—not just observe. Her events consistently blend instruction, performance, and fun, making dance approachable for everyone.

“Swing Under the Stars” will feature upbeat music, live instruction, and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere designed to get the whole community moving.

Guests are encouraged to bring friends, family members, or a dance partner and enjoy a lively spring evening at the Amphitheater.
