SAFFORD – The City of Safford is now accepting applications from local charitable and nonprofit organizations for donation funding as part of the FY2026 budget cycle. This annual program aims to support organizations that deliver impactful services and programs to enhance the lives of Safford residents.
Eligible organizations can apply for up to $20,000 in funding. To qualify, applicants must provide services or programs within Safford city limits, be chartered or incorporated with the Arizona Corporation Commission, and hold tax-exempt status with the IRS.
Application Requirements
Applications must include:
- Completed FY2026 City of Safford Donation Request Form
- A transmittal letter outlining the organization’s mission, community benefits, and funding impact
- IRS 501(c) determination letter
- Most recent financial report
- Current W-9 form
- List of board members and officers
Organizations that received city funds in the current fiscal year may not need to resubmit certain documents unless updates are required.
Submission Deadline

Review Process
The Safford City Council will review all applications, with funding decisions determined by a majority vote. This initiative reflects the city’s commitment to fostering a stronger, more connected community.
