Bull Fire burning along riverbed in Bylas

BYLAS – The Bull Fire has burned at least 175 acres below White City in Bylas along the Gila River riverbed since its start on Sunday, March 30. 

The fire has scorched salt cedar, cottonwoods, and willow trees along the riverbed. There is currently no threat to any structures. However, due to the wildfire, air quality has been significantly impacted in the area. Residents with respiratory problems or illnesses are advised to take precautions to limit exposure to smoke. There are currently Stage 2 Fire Restrictions in place, which include no campfires or charcoal fires, even in campgrounds or improved sites. 

Fire engines and others are working the east and west perimeter of the fire. Currently, there is 0 percent containment.
