MORENCI – Fifteen teams competed in the Morenci Knowledge Bowl held in the school’s Multi-Purpose Room on Feb. 24. All team members responded to and answered the same questions, dealing with a range of categories but not limited to drama, economics, electronics, film, history, geography, law, mathematics, mythology, physics, politics, religion, science, or space.

Food was prepared and served by advanced Culinary Arts students under the guidance of Denita Marble.
A-Team Results

Benson finished first with 63 points, scoring 39 in the Written Round, 11 in the first Oral Round, and 13 in the Second Oral Round. Team members included senior Carter Rockhill, juniors Juan Mares and Malus Sanchez, and freshmen Ammon Clonts, Isreal Hallford, and Braelyn Loya.
Saint David was second with 59 points (34, 12, 13), Duncan third with 52 (29, 9, 14). Pima fourth with 46 (26, 10, 10), Morenci fifth with 41 (25, 9, 7), Thatcher sixth with 40 (22, 9, 9), Safford seventh with 38 (26, 5, 7), Willcox eighth with 37 (21, 8, 8), and Tombstone ninth with 29 (19, 4, 6).
B-Team Results
B-Team results were Safford first with 51 (33, 10, 8), Benson second with 48 (30, 11, 7), Morenci (29, 6, 8) and Thatcher (26, 7, 10) tied for third with 43, Saint David fifth with 30 (21, 5, 4), and Duncan sixth with 27 (17, 4, 6).

Morenci Knowledge Bowl Teams
Host Morenci had seniors Alicia Ahumada, Keyra DeLeon, Emily Lewis, and Lyndale Waterhouse, along with sophomore Tracy Mianda, in its A-Team. The B-Team members included juniors Daisy Dia and Miles Romero and sophomores Alan Curtis and Loghan Szymanski.
