Only 138 tickets left as of Wednesday morning
Staff Reports
SAFFORD – They’re going fast and are almost all gone. As of Wednesday morning, just 138 raffle tickets were left for your chance to win a half beef from Carter’s Custom Cuts and assist elderly Safford residents with their utility bills.
Safford’s popular Give from the Heart fundraiser typically serves nachos and hot dogs, with possible guest appearances from former Safford City Councilmember Michael Andazola Sr. in a hot dog costume. Last October’s event raised more than $2,800, which was more than double what the event raised the previous year.
For this raffle, Carter’s Custom Cuts is putting up a half-beef valued at $2,100. Tickets are $20 for one or $100 for six. Only 500 total tickets will be available for sale. Proceeds from the raffle will benefit the Give from the Heart program.
The winner will be announced during SalsaFest on Saturday, Sept. 27.
The winner will select cuts of meat from a cut list and will have 60 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prize.
Purchase tickets at Safford City Hall or the city’s Mesa Yard Office at 373 Discovery Park Blvd.
