PERIDOT — The San Carlos Apache Police Department has announced that 18-year-old Stevie Ironshell, who was wanted in connection with an early Wednesday morning homicide in the Hallelujah Square area of Peridot, has been taken into custody without incident.
Ironshell was the subject of an intense public manhunt launched earlier this week after authorities responded to the fatal incident on the San Carlos Apache Reservation.
Law enforcement confirmed that Ironshell is currently facing serious criminal charges stemming from the ongoing investigation. Officials expressed appreciation to the community for its assistance and cooperation in sharing information and helping bring the suspect safely into custody.
