SAFFORD — Authorities are actively investigating the death of an adult male whose body was discovered early Thursday morning outside a residential complex in Safford.
According to a press release from the Safford Police Department, officers responded at approximately 2:35 a.m. on Sept. 17 to a report of an unconscious male lying in front of an apartment complex located at 1901 W. Peppertree Drive.
Upon arrival, officers located the man unresponsive and showing no signs of life. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Authorities confirmed the deceased was a resident of the apartment complex. His identity is currently being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Safford Police detectives remained on the scene Thursday morning to process evidence and establish the circumstances surrounding his death. Department officials noted that investigators currently have no reason to believe there is any ongoing danger to the public or any outstanding suspects in connection with the incident.
