RED ROCK – A new poll released by House Majority PAC (HMP) and commissioned by Normington, Petts & Associates shows Marine veteran and retired Drill Instructor JoAnna Mendoza leading Republican Juan Ciscomani 47% to 45% in Arizona’s 6th Congressional District. Following more information on both candidates, Mendoza surges 8 points ahead of Ciscomani – signaling growing momentum in what will be one of the most contested races in the nation. The poll also shows voters’ dissatisfaction with Ciscomani’s record, with 76% of voters rating him unfavorable or very unfavorable.

“Southern Arizonans are ready for a representative with a spine, and this latest poll confirms what I am hearing from families across our district every single day,” said JoAnna Mendoza. “Our communities deserve a representative who is going to show up, listen, and always keep their interests top of mind – not someone who will cave to D.C. party bosses. My team and I remain mission-focused and ready to deliver a decisive victory in November.”

The new poll is just the latest survey to show Mendoza ahead of Ciscomani. An April poll by a GOP-aligned group found Mendoza led Ciscomani 47-44%, while Republican Congressman David Schweikert admitted in 2025 that private polling showed Ciscomani’s “seat would be gone” in November.

Mendoza, a first-time congressional candidate, has made headlines for repeatedly outraising Ciscomani, including by nearly double in the first quarter of this year. Mendoza has raised over $5.3 million since launching her campaign.
