SAFFORD — Applications are now being accepted for Cohort 21 of the Gila Valley Leadership Network’s Civic Leadership Program, a year-long leadership development program designed to prepare participants for greater civic and community involvement throughout the Gila Valley.
Applications are due by 11:59 p.m. on July 15, with interviews scheduled for July 16 and July 18. Final selections will be announced by July 20.
The program brings together leaders from across the region for monthly Leadership Days, community service projects, and a Phoenix Delegation visit. Participants gain a deeper understanding of local government, business, education, healthcare, and other sectors that shape life in Graham County.
Cohort 21 begins Aug. 27 and concludes with an induction ceremony on June 24, 2027. Participants are expected to attend all sessions, complete 20 hours of community service, and submit a final report. Tuition is $500, and scholarships are available based on financial need.
The program is organized by the Gila Valley Leadership Network in partnership with the Graham County Chamber of Commerce, local governments, Eastern Arizona College, Mount Graham Regional Medical Center, and numerous community sponsors.
