GLOBE – Gila County has deployed a self-service sandbag station for residents, located across from the Community Bridges Rehabilitation Center, at 5734 Hope Ln., in Globe.
Residents are welcome to access the station at any time to fill and take sandbags to help protect their homes and property from flooding
Sand and sandbags will be provided by Gila County; however, everyone must bring their own shovel.
Community members who are able and willing are also encouraged to “pay it forward” by filling a few extra sandbags and leaving them at the station.
These donated sandbags will be available for those who may need assistance and cannot fill their own.
Globe was hit by a catastrophic flood on Sept. 26, 2025, causing major damage. Sand and bags will be available throughout this monsoon season.
