THATCHER — Eastern Arizona College invites prospective students and community members to attend upcoming informational sessions about its new Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Organizational Leadership.

Sessions will be held at the EA Alumni Library, 3670 W. Church St., Thatcher, on:

  • Tuesday, Feb. 24, 11 a.m.
  • Thursday, March 12, 6:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, March 28, 10 a.m.

Designed to empower students to grow as leaders, advance their careers, or pursue graduate and professional school, EA’s BA in Organizational Leadership offers an affordable pathway to a bachelor’s degree close to home.

“With flexible learning options and real-world faculty expertise, this program was built for working adults and students ready to take the next step,” said Professor Mike Fox. “We want people to know they can earn a respected bachelor’s degree without leaving the region or taking on the financial burden typically associated with university-level tuition.”

Arizona residents can complete the program for a total tuition cost of $13,965, or approximately $1,746 per semester — about one-quarter the cost of many traditional four-year universities. EA’s BA in Organizational Leadership has been submitted to the Higher Learning Commission for accreditation and is on track to begin offering upper-division courses in Fall 2026, pending approval.

The degree prepares students for immediate entry into the workforce and for advanced education opportunities.

“Our goal is to develop adaptable leaders who can step confidently into management roles or continue into graduate-level study,” said Susan Wood, EA vice president of academic and student affairs. “This degree strengthens our commitment to workforce development by creating a seamless pathway for students to complete a four-year degree at Eastern Arizona College while meeting the leadership needs of our communities.”

Graduates will be prepared for advanced education, including:

  • Master of Business Administration
  • Master of Organizational Leadership
  • Law school, medical school, and other professional programs

Career pathways include roles such as:

  • Operations manager
  • Project manager
  • Human resources generalist
  • Business analyst
  • Management consultant
  • Healthcare administrator
  • Government program manager
  • And more
