THATCHER – The Eastern Arizona College (EAC) Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is launching a free, three-part training series this February to empower local entrepreneurs and small business owners with practical skills for using Square’s tools effectively.
Titled the Square Training Series, the program—also promoted as “Square Made Simple”—focuses on helping participants boost sales, streamline daily operations, and support business growth through Square’s point-of-sale, payment, and e-commerce features. The series is designed progressively, with each 90-minute session building on the previous one to build confidence and expertise step by step.
The hybrid format allows attendees to join in person at Eastern Arizona College’s Academic Programs Building, Room 118 (Thatcher, AZ), or participate virtually via Zoom, broadening access for business owners throughout the region, including Graham, Greenlee, and Gila counties.
The schedule includes:
- Session 1: Square Made Simple: Getting Started & Selling with Confidence
Wednesday, Feb. 4
6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Ideal for beginners, this introductory session covers the basics of setting up and using Square to start accepting payments and selling with greater confidence. - Session 2: Square Website & E-Commerce: Build, Launch, and Sell Online
Wednesday, Feb. 11
6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Participants will learn how to create a professional online presence, set up e-commerce capabilities, and begin selling products digitally through Square. - Session 3: Mastering Square: Products, Stock & Reporting
Wednesday, Feb. 18
6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Advanced topics include managing products and inventory, tracking stock levels, and leveraging Square’s reporting tools for better business insights and decision-making.
The training is offered at no cost, thanks to the EAC SBDC’s mission to provide free resources and counseling to support local entrepreneurs and small businesses.
