GLOBE/MIAMI/SUPERIOR – Now that the holiday weekend is over, the Arizona Department of Transportation’s construction projects in the Globe, Miami, and Superior area are back in full effect.
Plan for daytime lane restrictions on U.S. Highway 60 in Globe, Sept. 2-4
The local road closure at Silver Street continues through mid-September
The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following daytime lane restrictions on U.S. Highway 60, between Santee Street and U.S. Highway 70, as part of the pavement rehabilitation project in Globe.
- Tuesday, Sept. 2, from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- East- and westbound US 60 reduced to one travel lane in each direction between Santee Street and High Street
- Wednesday, Sept. 3, from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- East- and westbound US 60 reduced to one travel lane in each direction between Monroe Street and US 70 (milepost 252)
- Eastbound curb lane restrictions on US 60 from Santee Street to High Street
- Thursday, Sept. 4, from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- East- and westbound curb lane restrictions on US 60 between Oak Street and US 70 (milepost 252)
The speed limit will be reduced to 25 mph in the work zone.
Plan for daytime lane restrictions on U.S. Highway 60 west of Miami, Sept. 2-5
The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following lane restrictions on U.S. Highway 60, approximately 3 miles west of Miami, for roadway improvements:
- U.S. Highway 60 will be narrowed to one lane in each direction with alternating east- and westbound travel between mileposts 240 and 243 daily from 5:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, through Thursday, Sept. 4, and from 5:30 a.m. to noon Friday, Sept. 5.
- Flaggers and a pilot car will direct drivers through the work zone.
- An 11-foot vehicle width restriction will be in place until further notice.
- The speed limit will be reduced to 25 mph in the work zone.
Upcoming restrictions:
- U.S. Highway 60 will be narrowed to one lane in each direction with alternating east- and westbound travel daily from 5:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 8, and Tuesday, Sept. 9. Flaggers and a pilot car will direct drivers through the work zone. An 11-foot vehicle width restriction will be in place. The speed limit will be reduced to 25 mph.
Daytime lane restrictions scheduled on U.S. Highway 60 east of Superior Sept. 2-5
The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following restrictions as part of a bridge replacement project:
- U.S. Highway 60 east of Superior, between mileposts 227-229, will be reduced to one lane with alternating east- and westbound travel from 5:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, through Thursday, Sept. 4, and 5:30 a.m. to noon Friday, Sept. 5. Flaggers and a pilot car will assist drivers through the work zone.
Upcoming flagging operations: U.S. Highway 60 east of Superior will be reduced to one lane with alternating east- and westbound travel from 5:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Sept. 8, through Thursday, Sept. 11. Flaggers and a pilot car will assist drivers through the work zone.
