City of Safford accepting donation requests from local nonprofits

SAFFORD – The city of Safford is now accepting donation requests for the Fiscal Year 2026 budget cycle. The annual program is designed to support organizations that provide meaningful services and programs benefiting the residents of Safford. Organizations may be approved for up to $20,000 in funds each. 

To be eligible, organizations must: 

• Provide services or programs within the Safford city limits

• Be chartered or incorporated with the Arizona Corporation Commission

• Be recognized as tax-exempt by the IRS

Required documentation from applications must include:

• Completed FY2026 City of Safford Donation Request Form

• Transmittal letter (mission, community benefit, and funding impact)

• IRS 501(c) determination letter

• Most recent financial report

• Current W-9 form

• List of board members and officers

The Safford City Council will review all applications. Funding decisions will be made by majority vote.
