PHOENIX – The Arizona Interscholastic Association is adding the 2A and 3A football championship games to its live television lineup. It’s the first time small school championship games have been produced for live TV in approximately 20 years.

With the addition of these matchups, the six largest classifications of AIA championship football will have their games broadcast on AIA’s media partner, Arizona’s Family 3TV and Arizona’s Family Sports.

“We are excited to continue to elevate opportunities for schools and student-athletes with the addition of the 2A and 3A football championships on Arizona’s Family,” said AIA Executive Director Dr. Jim Dean. “There’s nothing like Arizona high school football, and we’re thrilled that fans across the state can experience the excitement of these championships on TV! All the teams have poured their hearts into this season, and we are excited to celebrate their hard work, passion, and school pride, along with their communities.”

The 2A and 3A championship games will take place on Saturday, November 29, at Mountain Pointe High School in the Ahwatukee area of south Phoenix. Kickoff times are scheduled for 3 and 7 p.m.

There will be a small school championship media day taking place at the AIA office in Phoenix on Monday, Nov. 24, starting at 11 a.m. Free live streaming information will be revealed closer to the event.

All football championship games will also be streamed live on the NFHS Network. It will be the television feed used for the online broadcasts. One subscription to the NFHS Network gives fans access to every event in the system.
