PIMA – The second annual Big Splash Bash returns to the Pima Pool on Saturday and looks to be as thrilling an event as the first.

The fun will take place at the Pima Pool from 5 – 9 p.m., with proceeds going toward the recreation fund for the volunteer Pima Fire Department.

Along with free entry to the swimming pool, there will be hamburgers, hot dogs, and soda for sale, and music from Half-Fast.

Helicopters from LifeNet and AirEvac will also be on display, as well as various law enforcement vehicles and the Pima Fire Department’s new tanker truck, which was the inspiration for last season’s event. And don’t forget to grab a firefighter T-shirt for memorabilia.

The Big Splash Competition will headline the games with different age groups for smaller and larger competitors.

The event’s organizer, Lavan Taylor, encouraged the community to come out and enjoy the event.

“Bring the family out and have a lot of fun,” Taylor said.
